Day 3: Shoulders &Arms/Ab Ripper X

Alright, I LOVED this workout. The "glamour" muscles...oh geez, pageant days flashback. *shakes ahead* Anyway...
There were some moves where I think definitely by next week I can up it to 10 lbs. For example, the alternating shoulder press, the in and out bicep curl, the full supination concentration curl and possibly the static arm curl. The triceps really did only require very light weight...5lbs did it for me (then again, I'm in the 15 rep range for lean muscles, not size).

*side note: I started using bands, and immediately one snapped on me and hit me in the face. NOT COOL. I immediately returned them (they weren't inexpensive) and put the money towards dumbbells. I HIGHLY recommend dumbbells. The bands are difficult to use, cumbersome, and annoying. Also...I know they try, but the videos focus very little on the band users. I hated them! too much time unsnapping a certain resistance and changing them out, and then like I said...second time I ever used them the end just snapped....*insert curse word.* Right now I have 5lbs, 8lbs, and 10lb. dumbbells but I KNOW I need to get 12lb and 15lb ones soon. Dumbbells are pricey, but I went to Dick's Sporting Goods...got mine on sale. You might also want to try an equipment-resale place. In Michigan we have Play It Again Sports...they sell people's equipment after they refurbish it. Dumbbells are basically new because well...they're dumbbells. No wear and tear on IRON. I recommend that route. *end side note*

So overall, I did very well today. The only unfortunate part was that I had to wait until 11pm to do my workout because I wasn't feeling well ALL day. It was a huge bummer, and working out that late kinda sucked big time. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the workout so I pushed myself. I'm not sure what's going to happen with my relationship with Ab Ripper X: it seems an underlying medical condition may prevent me from doing specific core exercises which will be a huge let down. On the other hand, I know of someone doing P90X without Ab Ripper X for similar reasons and he seems to be getting great results regardless so I won't stress too much. Till tomorrow~
